The National Children’s Literary Festival @ Listowel Writers Week 2016 Space travelling dinosaurs, noodle eating yetis, underworld gods and the ultimate battle of the bad boys... 2016 is set to be a real adventure at the National Children’s Literary Festival @ Writers Week and we’d love you to join us for the fun. We are delighted to present part one of our schools and families programme, with some of the most exciting names in children’s books, visiting us here in Listowel, June 1st-June 5th.

We are delighted to announce some early bird booking details of this year's festival. All these events are open to families and school groups and can be booked online now! Ticket prices are €4 per child but adults and teachers go FREE!

10.00am  Steve Cole Adventure in Writing

Want to kickstart kids’ creative writing? Take them to see Steve Cole – the madcap, bestselling author of Astrosaurs, Secret Agent Mummy, Magic Ink, Stop Those Monsters!, Young Bond, Doctor Who and many more. In this full-on, fun-filled interactive session he will teach children quick-and-easy ways to invent story ideas, share secret writing tips and reveal the origins of some of his own loopy characters. (Suitable for Ages 7yrs+)
