New Year, New Creative Challenges!

Happy New Year Everyone!

We are delighted to now announce details of our Literary Workshops and Competitions for 2013.

Literary Workshops 2013

In 1972, Bryan MacMahon first introduced the concept of the literary workshop to Ireland and Listowel Writers’ Week, since then they have become an integral part of our festival.

So, if you can imagine spending 4 or 5 glorious days in the literary capital of Ireland, surrounded by like minded writers, composers and dreamers, sharing your creative output in a nurturing and supportive gathering of new friends, with the guidance of some of Ireland’s leading artists and teachers and have a dream of leaving this oasis of culture with a draft of the first chapter of your novel, a selection of new poems, new songs, new ideas, new inspirations and new challenges – then Listowel Writers’ Week is the place for you! Full details available from

We have Sixteen Literary Workshops for you to choose from and for the first time you can now book a place on one of our workshops Online!
