Listowel Writers’ Week is a five day literary and arts Festival which aims promote writing and all its genres throughout the literary community, and to create an environment in which literature can be appreciated by the widest possible audience and where writers and readers celebrate the written word, together. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, and then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Cookies and Third Parties:
Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.
Our website may include hyperlinks to, and details of, third party websites. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the privacy policies and practices of third parties
Online purchases:
When purchasing through our website we may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

- Address (Billing/shipping)
- Contact Number
- Payment details
Any purchase made we do hold to the following information through a protected payment processors Paypal, Stripe and Ticketsolve. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent. All data we held is protected.
You can also purchase a ticket (or tickets) in person without providing all personal data.
Google Analytics:
Listowel Writers’ Week uses Google Analytics, to collect standard internet information and details of visitors visiting. We do this to find out how many people visit various parts of the site. Information we get does not identify anyone, we do not allow Google make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information to tell you about:
- Upcoming events, news and announcements
- If we need to about information we may need or updates
- Check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied and would like to stay on with us.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We analyse email opening and clicks using this mailing service to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
