We are currently working on our Children Programme for 2015 in the meantime though, here are details of our extensive range of literary competitions for young people to be entering!

Closing date for receipt of ALL entries is Monday 2nd March 2015.

Guidelines & Rules:-

NO ENTRY FORM IS REQUIRED FOR COMPETITIONS

The Closing Date for receipt of all other competition entries is: 2nd March 2015.

  • One entry per student may only be submitted
  • Submissions may be in the form of a poem, short story or essay on any subject (there is no set theme)
  • Name, address, school and age must be included on the entry.
  • Where a school are sending multiple entries again, the name, address, school and age must be on every entry.
  • Please retain a copy, as entries cannot not be returned due to the high volume of entries
  • No critique on entries can be given due to the high volume of entries received.
  • Entries may be in Irish or in English / Is féidir iontrálacha a bheith i mBéarla nó i nGaeilge
  • The adjudicators’ verdict is final and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding individual competition entries.
  • Please note Winners only will be notified again due to the high volume of entries..
  • Awards may not be presented where an appropriate standard is not achieved.
  • Listowel Writers’ Week reserves the right to withhold or to publish winning entries in the publication Winners’ Anthology 2015.
