This joint event celebrates 50 years of Arlen House, the first organisation to introduce diversity and equality in the Irish arts world.

Liz McManus launches her fiction collection, Tiny Bruises, revealing an emotional history of Ireland over the past century since independence and partition. While Nessa O‘Mahony premieres the first sequel to Look! It’s a Woman Writer! the critically-acclaimed bestseller, focusing on contemporary women writers born in the 1960s who reflect on their writing lives in a changing Ireland.

A Guided Walk Through Listowel’s Tall Tales, Poets & Political Pranks
Join John Keane as he passes by the birth places of literary greats, Bryan McMahon and John B Keane and examines the work of the master of plaster; the doyen of Sculptural stuccos, Pat McAuliffe. The tour will end in the Small Square where in May 1951, Tom Doodle, president of the Independent Coulogeous Party made his only public appearance. The man who promised to drill for oil off the coast of Ballybunion and who secured gravel rights on the moon for Listowel will be celebrated. No spoofers please!
